This Patrol Service has been designed to get your 30hp Mercury ready for reliable operation for either surf lifesaving patrol or before the fishing season.

 Our Patrol Service 30 point check.

1. Change Gear Box Oil.
2. Water pump impeller and housing assessed for condition*.
3. Gear box bolts greased and tightened.
4. Prop guard bolts Loctite and tightened.
5. Prop guard veins straightened.
6. Prop guard inspected for cracks and repaired.*
7. Propeller Split pin and Crown nut assessed for condition*.
8. Gear lever selector Loctite and tightened.
9. Recoil removed, cleaned and assessed for condition*.
10. Tiller arm assembly assessed for condition*.
11. Tiller arm mount bolts greased and tightened.
12. Tiller arm tension set so it doesn’t fall.
13. Check the motor makes full throttle.
14. Inspect the chock for function and doesn't stick.
15. Clean fuel filter.
16. Fuel bayonet assessed for condition*.
17. Check fuel lines are not kinked or damaged*.
18. Check spark plug leads/caps not damaged*.
19. Air Box bolts secured with Loctite.
20. Check electrical wires for damage.
21. Tidy electrical wires with new cable tie.
22. Toggle not bent*.
23. Toggle Feet Secured with Loctite.
24. Check no arcing of electrical Leads.
25. Set Idle and fuel mixture.
26. Compression test both chambers.
27. Grease motor nipples.
28. Check Safety Strop for condition*.
29. Engine cleaned.
30. Fit Cowling.
