LOCTITE 263 is a red, dual cure, acrylic dimethacrylate ester fluorescent threadlocker designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It cures between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It works on active metals (e.g. brass, copper) and passive substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces.

This Performance Service has been designed to get your 30hp Mercury ready to race at its optimal performance. While ensuring your tilt and steering hold strong throughout the weekend.

This is recommended to be done once a season or before a major competition (North Island Championships and NZ IRB Nationals).

 Our performance 50 point check.

1. Change Gear Box Oil.
2. Adjust turning arc to within specification.
3. Water pump impeller assessed for condition*.
4. Water pump housing assessed for condition*.
5. Gear box bolts greased and tightened.
6. Prop guard bolts Loctite and tightened.
7. Prop guard veins straightened.
8. Prop guard inspected for cracks and repaired.*
9. Prop guard and prop has uniform clearance.
10. Propeller Crown nut assessed for condition*.
11. Propeller Split pin assessed for condition*.
12. Gear lever selector Loctite and tightened.
13. Recoil removed, cleaned and assessed for condition*.
14. Pull cord rope not frayed, or damaged*.
15. Pull cord handle assessed for condition*.
16. Pull cord catch assessed for condition*.
17. Recoil bolts tight and Loctite.
18. Tiller arm assembly assessed for condition*.
19. Tiller arm mount bolts greased and tightened.
20. Tiller arm tension set so it doesn’t fall.
21. Throttle linkages not worn or loose.
22. Check the motor makes full throttle.
23. Inspect the chock for function and doesn't stick.
24. Clean fuel filter.
25. Check fuel bayonet can fit easily and adjusted.
26. Fuel bayonet cleaned as required.
27. Check fuel lines are not kinked or damaged*.
28. Check spark plug leads/caps not damaged*.
29. Air Box bolts secured with Loctite.
30. Check electrical wires for damage.
31. Fuel line on gear lever side if requested.
32. Tidy electrical wires with new cable tie.
33. Tilt tube cleaned and assessed for condition*.
34. Tilt tightening when adjusted.
35. Toggle not bent*.
36. Toggles cleaned.
37. Toggle Feet Secured with Loctite.
38. Check engine mount bolt spins.
39. Tension Engine mounts.
40. Steering stiffens when bolt is tightened.
41. Power tune motor.
42. Check no arcing of electrical Leads.
43. Set Idle.
44. Set fuel mixture.
45. Compression test both chambers.
46. Grease motor nipples.
47. Check Safety Strop for condition*.
48. Engine cleaned.
49. Sandpaper fitted to gear lever.
50. Fit Cowling.
